33 Apocalpyse Avenue, Emma Frost's Suite

When she'd purchased the property, Emma had done extensive remodeling; improving wiring, plumbing, central air, new windows and fresh paint for the rooms she rented out, and the best part: creating a master suite for herself with bedroom, bath, lounging area/office and a fully equipped bar. All of it decorated in a very chic and tasteful manner, and paid for via the Hellfire Club.

Look, Emma was a big girl and knew what she wanted.

And tonight she had a guest, so all the reclining pillows were out, The Olympics were on, and the champagne was chilling for her company as she went to go put on cute pajammas.

Any excuse for pajamas was a good one. Callie was new to having girl friends, so she might be bad at the sleepover part, but catching up with Emma in completely Umbridge-approved Loyalist-appropriate ways really was always a good time.

She knocked on the suite's door, adjusting her bag of groceries. Yes, she had stopped for Oreos and other necessities. She was just assuming that was part of the deal, here.

Please, Oreos were always a necessity, no matter the situation.

"It's open!" Emma called, flouncing out of her bedroom in a nice, fluffy, feathery robe. "Shall we enjoy the shameless show of capitalism and wish for more 'traditionally clad' Olympics?"

As-in naked, yes, because have you seen some of those athletes?

"I wish," Callie said, slipping into the room in her satin pink pajamas. With a coat overtop, natch. "Barring that I'm going to be rooting for some catastrophic injuries. I brought indulgent sugary treats."

"Injury Bingo? I made cards." No one ever said Emma was a nice person. "And oooo.... sugar. I could use some pep if I'm not going to fall asleep before eleven."

"We may need to extend Injury Bingo past the opening ceremonies," Callie said, as she dug into the bag to produce the Oreos and other moddable goodies. "It feels like that needs side-bets, based on country."

Callie for her part was going for the champagne bottle. "So you spent yesterday cleaning up other people's messes, I heard."

"Raven went off the fucking handle and killed Sookie. Telepathic girl, my age," Emma said sourly. The fact she had liked Sookie remained unspoken. "Burned out her brain."

"The only reason I didn't let the people in Detention kill her is because Umbridge would kill all of them for that."

"And someone fucked with one of my projects. I almost had Rinoa ready to come out and join society, and some newly Imperio'd harpy came along and shredded my work."

Callie poured herself a healthy flute of champagne and considered.

"It seems like it's entirely counterproductive to let some of the loonies down there at all," she said. "You'd think it'd be far more efficient to restrict access and just let helpful people down. Leaving students in the basement to be poked at by psychopaths seems like it's not going to speed along the release process."

It'd be far more efficient to not have people locked up in the basement at all. That was another thing that went without saying, right?

"For all her talk of rehabilitation, you can't do that without putting an actual program in place," Emma bitched, holding out her own flute in a demand for bubbly. "Education and Human Development is one of my majors, and it's practically a golden rule. Detention by her method only increases hostility by both groups."
